Pokkén Tournament DX on Nintendo Switch!

Pokkén Tournament will be coming to the Nintendo Switch! This port will feature the four fighters that have only previously been available in the arcade version of the game, Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon and Croagunk. These fighters have been available for awhile in Japanese arcades but this is the first time they’ll be making their way to consoles! New to any version of the game is Decidueye, the archery owl from Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, he is the fully evolved form of Rowlet, the grass type starter of the Alola region, with Litten & Popplio joining the roster as a team of support Pokémon!

Also new to the Switch version will be 3-v-3 team battles, where each player will get to choose three Pokémon to battle it out against each other. As for online, three modes will be available, Ranked Matches, where every match counts towards your online ranking, Friendly Matches, where you can match with random players online for a fight and Group Matches, where only friends will be allowed in to participate. Daily challenges are also being implementing into the Switch version and finally, all fighters and support Pokémon will be available right from the beginning when you start up the game! The game will be playable at E3 and featured in the Nintendo Treehouse stream, as well as in its own invitational tournament on June 14.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon get an Ultra upgrade!

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be receiving new version this holiday! These versions seem to be similar to the old “third” versions from previous generations, such as Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Platinum. They will feature an alternate story set in the world of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, new Pokémon you couldn’t catch in the originals and new features will all be included in these updates versions. Not much was elaborated on with these games but there’s still five months worth of news to hear about between now and when the games launch on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems globally on November 17, 2017.

Pokkén Tournament DX will release on September 22, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will release on November 17, 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS family of systems.

Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver for the Virtual Console!

The classic second generation of Pokémon is coming to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems on September 22, 2017! They’ll feature the same classic gameplay that so many remember from back in 1999. And just like the previous virtual console Pokémon games, Gold and Silver will be fully compatible with Pokémon Bank, so you can transfer over the Pokémon you’ve caught in the Johto region up to the current generations of titles.

Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver will release on September 22, 2017 for the 3DS Virtual Console on the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS family of systems.
