Bethesda E3 Presentation: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch

While it was announced during the Nintendo Switch reveal, Bethesda has some new announcements for Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch.

Skyrim is now more portable than ever, and is bringing some new surprises with it as it moves to the new Nintendo Switch console. Skyrim is now adding Amiibo Support that adds new weapons and armor based around the Legend of Zelda franchise to the game.

By using a compatible Legend of Zelda character with Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch you can unlock the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, or the Champions Tunic. Other compatible Amiibo will give you additional loot to use on your journey.

Amiibo that are compatible include those from the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, 30th Anniversary, Super Smash Bros, and Legend of Zelda series of Amiibo.

“The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons.”

Skyrim is releasing on the Nintendo Switch during the Holiday of 2017.
