By Paper Mario is known for making references to other shows and products, and it looks like Paper Mario Color Splash is no exception with the introduction of the Rescue V!
In Paper Mario Color Splash it looks like Mario will get some help from a group of Toad’s who form the Rescue V. Rescue Red, Rescue Blue, Rescue Yellow, Rescue Green, and Rescue Purple make up the Rescue V. The team appears to be based on the popular Power Rangers (which is getting a new movie coming out soon as well).
In the trailer we get an idea of how these characters will join the story of Paper Mario. In the trailer we see the group talk about how they get no credit for all the help they have done for Mario on his journey, such as Mario using Rescue Purple as stairs, Rescue Green as a bridge, and Rescue Yellow to pull a turnip from the ground.
The trailer shows the quirky humor of Paper Mario that makes me excited for this game, and hopeful that it turns out better than their last Paper Mario game.
Paper Mario Color Splash is set to release on the Wii U console on October 7, 2016.
