New Alola Form and Z-Moves

The 3DS Nintendo Direct on September 1 graced us with some new info on Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

Alolan Rattata Revealed!
Alolan Rattata is a Dark/Normal type, after the Rattata population swarmed the Alola Islands, Yungoos was brought in to help with the problem. Rattata changed to become nocturnal in order to avoid the diurnal Yungoos, and the result is Rattata’s Alolan form!

More Info on Z-Moves!
The next bit info was that certain Pokémon species will get their own unique Z-Crystals in order to utilize Z-Moves specific to that Pokémon. So far, Alolan Raichu and Snorlax have showcased unique Z-Moves!

Also announced was a special release window giveaway! From November 18, 2016 to January 11, 2017, trainers will be able to obtain a special Munchlax in their copies of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Munchlax will be holding the special item, Snorlium-Z, the Z-Crystal that will allow Snorlax to use his unique move, Pulverizing Pancake.
