Super Mario Maker is coming to the 3DS this December!
During Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct they started off with a bang announcing that Super Mario Maker would be making a transition from the Wii U to the 3DS, and along with it some new features.
First off the game is coming loaded with 100 built in courses made by Nintendo to play through. These courses will include metal challenges such as collected all the coins or defeating all the enemies on the way to the levels end. By completing these challenges you will get metals to collect.

Courses from Wii U will be playable on the 3DS version as well, while you won’t be able to search for them and not all will be playable, they will still show up in the 100-Man Mario challenge. So make up for this though courses will now be shareable to friends locally or through street pass.

All creation tools from the Wii U version will be available in the 3DS version except for the Mario costumes through the Mystery Mushroom. Mary O and Yamamura Tutorials also return in the 3DS version to help out in creating new maps.

Along with the ability to share your created maps locally, you can now collaborate with others to create the perfect level. By marking a map for collaboration you will be able to share the map in an editable state to friends and through street pass so other can edit it as well.

Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo 3DS is set to release on December 2nd 2016.
