Your Starter Pokémon Have Evolved?!
If you chose Rowlet to start your journey, then your partner Pokémon will evolve into Dartrix!
If Litten was your choice, then your partner Pokémon will evolve into Torracat!
And if you preferred Popplio, then partner Pokémon will evolve into Brionne!
Introducing the Festival Plaza!
The Festival Plaza is a fun new feature of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon where you can participate in activities, earn Festival Coins to buy items and even interact with other players from around the world!
Your personal Festival Plaza even has its own rank and as it goes up, you’ll be able to unlock more stuff to do! Including hosting special missions and more ways to earn Festival Coins.
The Poké Pelago for Your PC Pokémon!
Poké Pelago is a cool new feature of Sun and Moon, it allows you to send Pokémon from your PC Boxes to islands where they can have fun, go exploring and even train! As more Pokémon go exploring, the individual isles will develop and new isles will be added!
Isle Abeens will be available from the start, wild Pokémon will sometimes visit this island. Some wild Pokémon may even take a liking to you and choose to stay in your party!
Isle Aphun is one of the isles you will develop over time. It allows your Pokémon to go exploring and possibly find rare items!
Isle Evelup will allow your Pokémon to train, you can even make drinks for your Pokémon to increase certain stats!
Mega Evolution Returns!
Back from Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, and Pokémon you obtain that could Mega Evolve before will be able to again! Mega Stones can be found around the Alola Region or you can find them in special shops!
A Special Demo Appears!
On October 18 a special demo of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be available for download through Nintendo’s homepage or the Nintendo eShop! In it, you will be able to use a special Greninja that might be familiar to fans of the Pokémon anime…
Ash-Greninja is a special Greninja with the unique ability, Battle Bond. Battle Bond allows Greninja to become Ash-Greninja after causing an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. Its speed and power will increase with the form change and it lasts only til the end of battle, so make it count!\
Updates to the Pokémon Global Link
Lots of new updates will be coming to the PGL on November 18! Updated battle modes and even a brand new battle mode are all a part of this update! In addition to the existing battle rules, a new mode called Championship Battles will arrive. This mode allows you to battle with the same format at the Pokémon Video Game World Championships!
A new feature in the PGL will be QR Rental Teams! You will be able to register up to six teams consisting of one to six Pokémon each. Each team will be assigned a QR code that other players can scan on the Pokémon Global Link to use in Link Battles. Maybe even some World Champion teams will have QR codes that you can rent!? Many more features are coming as well, including Missions that players online can participate in, competitions that you can host yourself and more! Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release on November 18, 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS family of systems.
