Animal Crossing New Leaf is adding Amiibo!

Animal Crossing New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS is getting a free update that will add Amiibo functionality to the game. All previously released Animal Crossing Amiibo and Amiibo cards will be compatible with the game, with some Amiibo from other series as well.

To add to this a new series of Amiibo Cards will be released on December 2^nd featuring 50+ Animal Crossing characters never before seen in New Leaf!

By scanning these new cards you’ll be able to see that villager’s mobile home, and even ask them to move into your town.

More information on this update is set to be released later this Fall from Nintendo in an Animal Crossing focused Nintendo Direct.
