Mario Party Star Rush is getting some new game modes!

To start off Toad Scramble is a new mode for Mario Party Star Rush that can be played in either single player or multiplayer game modes.

In this game mode the traditional turn based Mario Party games goes away, having all players moving simultaneously. This game mode ends with a boss battle, the first person to reach the boss will kick off the battle. Everyone else will join the battle as soon as they make it towards the boss.

The goal of this new mode is to be the first person to beat the boss. The boss battles will take place in an arena with items dropping to damage the boss as they attack whoever they can.

There is also the inclusion of Ally Characters now, which will wait at points on the map. Once you get to those points they will join you in mini games and expand your movement options on the games map. To add to this, any coins your ally earns will be added to your collection.

There are 7 mode in the game to play with friends! All Super Mario Amiibo are compatible with this game as well, and each mode uses them differently. Toad, Luigi, Mario, Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi are available now. Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Boo, Wario, Rosalina, Daisy, and Wal-Lugi will be available November 4th.

Also by downloading the Mario Party Star Rush Guest application from the eshop, you’ll be able to play with up to 4 people using only one copy of the game and using local wireless to share it. This should make playing with friends easier than ever.
